The tour will be led by Jonathan Williams.

As with last year’s visit, we will explore the different phases of the designed landscape around Penpont. We will aim to look at the remnants of early eighteenth century formal gardens, parkland, ‘picturesque’ walks and early C19th landscaping, as well as some more recent developments.  This year’s walk will concentrate more on the features in the lower part of the valley and nearer to the house, 

Expect to walk between 1 and 2 miles, some on grass or potentially muddy paths. Please wear walking boots or stout shoes with a good grip and bring waterproofs, water and a light snack or energy bar.
