Replica of historic log boat to visit y Gaer

A full-size replica of y Gaer Museum & Art Gallery’s 9th century Llangors Log Boat will be on display to the public outside the front of y Gaer on Saturday 11th April from 10.30 to 15.30.  The replica log boat was made by Channel 4’s Time Team in 1993.  The display marks the centenary of the original log boat’s discovery in Llangors Lake.  Other exhibits will include traditional woodworking tools used to make log boats and also posters about history of the Lake.
